This past September I received one of those phone calls that no one wants to receive after having an MRI. It was my orthopedic surgeon with both good news and bad news. The good news was that the disc in my back that had been repaired twice was doing fine. The bad news was the next disc up was now causing problems. This was the final nail in the coffin of decision concerning my 1931 66A Deluxe Pickup restoration project…it was time to find a new home and someone who could take over where my back gave out. But my garage would not remain empty long. Two days after selling the Model A, I came across a 2004 PT Cruiser GT with low mileage (~71K). Turned out to be an original owner car, had a complete dealer service history, and always lived in a garage. Even the guys at Pierson’s Auto Stereo in Livermore were amazed by the condition of this vehicle. Now I just need to plan a road trip…
