I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be.
Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
The day after Thanksgiving in 2010 I had my first spine surgery. Sixteen months later I endured a second surgery on the same disc. I’m happy today that I was able to hand wash my truck for the first time in a very long time. Today I’m celebrating the little things in life.
