Choosing To Be Happy – No. 30

While mowing the lawn

Saturday mornings is when I do my chores
This beautiful flower caught my eye while mowing the grass
After the yard work was done there was laundry to do
But I got distracted by other issues I prefer not to do
Eventually I remembered the sheets were clean and dry
It was now time to try and put them on the bed
But for reason unknown a lump appears that does not move
I believe for Maggie it is a game to see
Who is the top dog in this family
But in the end I just give in and we have some fun
A hand under a quilt suddenly becomes
A reason to attack and chew on my hand
I won the battle just long enough
To finish making the bed which only rhymes with red
Now it is time to kick back and relax
With Maggie now by my chair in her favorite place

  1. Sounds like your domestics day was filled with beauty and fun! You have inspired me! Now, I must get to the cleaning – but I will keep my awareness open for moments of beauty and opportunities for fun! Thank you!

    1. Your welcome Andrea. I have found that we can find happiness in everything if we only look around. Patrick
