This week’s entry for the 1 Day 1 World Project: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm was delayed due to it being a too hot (92°) for Maggie and I to venture outside. For a dog, a 92° air temperature turns in to a paw scorching walk. So in the best interest of man’s best friend, I waited until it cooled down to put this weeks post together.
In honor of all those men and women who gave their life to protect our freedom.
Livermore’s Veterans Memorial Building to honor those of the Great War (WWI).
For those who recall their history, as this corner-stone was being laid, Hitler was already working to destroy Europe. In the end millions would lose their lives in WWII. Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
A very timely and important post for today, Patrick. I’m glad you waited a little longer to spare Maggie’s paws…

Lisa, Thanks for the pass. I was worried about Maggie all day. She did not eat breakfast and was listless. Her tummy was making noises that were not normal. This evening she finally ate some food and the walk did her a lot of good. I’m learning that Maggie is a sensitive dog. Patrick

Thanks for the Buffalo Springfield video – lovely to hear that song again, I remember it from a CSNY album I had in the ’70s. Such a poignant song.

You’re welcome Jude. A commercial came on with a snippet of this song while I was writing this post. It took me back in time and I thought it fit perfectly with the post.

Maggie is feeling much better to my relief! This morning she ate her food for the first time in about a month without me adding Stella & Chewy’s which she asks for by going to the cabinet. It is a dehydrated meat product that was recommended a while back when Maggie was dealing with the older dog, Becky, moving away (Becky is the dog on my right in my Gravatar), The two dogs were best friend. Thanks for asking!!!
