I happen to be awake during the 12th hour of the 1 Day 1 World Project. This is no small feat. This evening I was taking care of some yard work at a friend’s house after it cooled down. Too dark to take a picture so instead I will bring you another picture of Livermore’s Centennial Light Bulb to prove it is still burning. It appears brighter tonight because the firehouse lights are on. About an hour before this picture was posted on the light bulb’s web site, the big ladder truck in the background went by my friend’s house on the way to a call with lights and sirens .

It’s great to hear real life stories around the Centennial Light Bulb, Patrick. I hope everyone was ok at the call by your friend’s house.

In my neighborhood is the building that was Livermore’s first hospital, St. Paul’s. It was converted many years ago to a private nursing home called Quail Garden’s after the owner’s were unable to find a place with quality care of their parents. It has expanded to a second home due to their sucessful business model of providing quality care. The LPFD is called there quite often. I’m pretty certain this is where they were headed.

It’s interesting to see the shapes of some of the lighting that helps to guide our way in the dark. Well-composed photo, Patrick!
