After a very intense day at work, which included an unexpected view of the undercarriage of a bus, I am choosing to be happy because Maggie is always excited to see me when I arrive home. I also looked up at the sky, though it was gray, and rejoiced because rain is on the way. As I walked through the yard I also noticed several plants that have started to bloom.
This Geranium is a survivor of the frost as well as several nights of below freezing temperature . Many of the Geraniums around the yard are beginning to break out and bloom.
Haven’t seen this flower before due to other plants that I took out several weeks ago. It is very tiny and a surprising find growing in my yard.
I normally consider Alyssum a weed but these blooms are amazing.
Beautiful captures of early spring flowers. 🙂

Thanks Amy. I’m typing this as your “Raindrops on Rose” is number 1 in my reader. Love the contrast between red and black. Flowers seems to be the trending pictures so far today. 🙂

Glad you found me again!!! I decided to change the name to Red Dog Garage due to some people having a negative reaction to Redneck Garage. It turns out there are many different definitions based on which region and time period the term was used. Plus many of my followers wanted to see more posts with Maggie, my red Australian Shepherd.

Thank you for the encouraging words.
You make a very good point on love. To be without love is to be part of the world, which Paul’s wrote in his second letter to Timothy, is not a good place to be. It looks too familiar with what I see in our culture today.
2 Timothy 3:1-9
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

I cannot believe that you have a pelargonium (the proper name for that geranium) and a snowdrop in flower at the same time! All my pelargoniums are safely indoors until the danger of frost has passed, probably another 2 months!

Sharp eye, Jude. They are burned by the frost but blooming. The red one is so vivid it is difficult to get a decent image.
