We all have them in our life
Someone close or far removed
Who makes conversation difficult
What anger and resentment must they harbor
When it happened I do not know
Where will it take them is their destiny
Try as I might I sent a note
With information for them, not for me
I had hoped it would be well received
It came back as rude as can be
A miserable life they make for themselves
As Maggie and I took our morning stroll
We were greeted with a beautiful sunrise
Smoke from the fires ravaging my state
Turn the sky red at dawn and later at dusk
I choose to be happy as I ponder
The unexpected blessing of light
For in the darkness I lived too long
Now I am free to move along
Beautiful — and thank God, you are free to move along…

Thanks for the encouraging words, Amy. I write these thoughts with the hope of helping anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation. I know other bloggers have helped me.

I hope you are safe from the fires …. I have a classmate in Napa Valley…she told me it was a little too close for comfort
sometimes when we let go and let the stillness work its magick, we realize we can’t change someones path, we can’t fix them..we can only be ourselves and wish the well in their new world…
I think you have taken many steps in the forward direction…one step at a time…
I hope you had a weekend of accomplishments 🙂 I got a book from a blogger in the Ozarks to review, I am enjoying it, its about plants, my passion, my escape when I need one 🙂 I love gardening…keeps me sane, or maybe insane 🙂
I enjoy reading your thoughts Patrick…you have a soft energy to share, filled with kindness…
I wish you a peace-filled night….
Take Care…You Matter…
