Sunday afternoon, Lisa and I, along with her niece, went on a urban hike through North Beach and wandered through the North Beach Street Fair.
We walked up several steep streets, as well as a bunch stairs, to Coit Tower. The wait to go to the top was 40 minutes so we just enjoyed the view. Then back down the stairs and steep streets where we eventually found the street fair and the many artists.
As I walked around the neighborhood, I noticed many old neon signs that chronicled the history.
North Beach is also known as Little Italy, so we found a local Italian restaurant and ejoyed an early dinner. By San Francisco standards, the weather was perfect.
A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I did chunks of the same walk 3 weeks ago!

This is the first time I’ve walked this neighborhood. It has many beautiful old buildings and the hills made for a good workout. 🙂
