Yesterday the air in the Livermore Valley was thick with smoke from the various wildfires. The sunlight on the sidewalk had an orange glow. This morning the sun was a fiery red as it rose over the eastern end of the valley. This image was taken with the stock Android camera on a Nexus 6P with no adjustments other than being cropped in Snapseed.
Beautiful.

Thanks! It was difficult not to look at the sun on my drive into work. It looked even bigger than in the picture.

Sucks that everything around is burning up, but makes for some unique photography!

The forests need the fire to remain healthy but unfortunately people do loose their homes. Many fires are started accidentally, through carelessness, or arson. Others are caused my lightning. Does produce amazing sunrises and sunsets.
