Acres of Marble

While driving South on the El camino real, Lisa and I decided to explore the cemetery we were passing to our right. Created in 1937, the Golden Gate National Cemetery covers 161.5 acres and has 165,000 grave sites. It is very sobering to view so many headstones on a day that many people are focused on the United States’ largest one day retail spending spree.
