This summer marked 20 years since I started the journey with my old house. In all that time, there were only two projects where I hired a contractor: painting the exterior and installing gutters. I’ve been struggling with the decision to hire a contractor to replace the fence around the backyard. The problem being that I enjoy doing my own home repairs. I was encouraged to consider hiring a contractor. As I watched the carpenter drive away with the old fence strapped down on his truck, I was quite happy. The before and after images tell the story.
Maggie and Sally seem happy too but the new fence will limit their ability to peek out through the holes the old fence provided. I’m very satisfied with the new fence and extremely happy to have hired out this job.
Beautiful fence! They did a gret job. We’ve been thinking about a new fence. 🙂
My husband made a hole for Evan to peek out.

Thanks, Amy. Sally and Maggie would love a window in the fence. Believe it or not, Sally, who is thirteen, has jumped the old fence.

Maggie doesn’t look like thirteen at all!

Actually it is Sally who is thirteen. Old but agile.

Funny that we need a new fence as well – must be fence season – thanks for sharing Pat!

You’re welcome, Susan! The roses were holding the fence up. The way Maggie and Sally hit the fence when another goes by would eventually knock it down.
