After a rainy week, the weather this morning is absolutely beautiful.
Maggie and Sally are enjoying the new lawn where I dug up the stump last year.
The Pansies are blooming and the grape vines have started another season.
After many years of helping me keep the yard manicured, my string trimmer would start but quickly die. I decided to try repairing it instead of replacing it with a new one. After ordering several new parts, I rebuilt the carburetor and installed a new spark plug. Fresh oil was added as part of the tune-up. After a couple of hours of tinkering the string trimmer was running like new.
Twice in the last month, the sewer line that runs along the side of the house has clogged. The terra cotta pipe was installed 110 years ago and most of my neighbors have had to replace their sewer pipe. I knew it was only a matter of time. After having a camera inspection of the pipes condition and general location, this will now be my next big project at the Red Dog Estate. The permit has been pulled and the parts are now being purchased. Next weekend the digging will begin.
After the morning projects were complete, Lisa and I, along with Sally and Maggie, walked downtown and enjoyed a late lunch at Denitri’s Taverna. All reasons to be happy.
