Boston had their Big Dig and after three weeks of preparation, the Red Dog Estate will start its own version of the Big Dig tomorrow morning. If all goes as planned, tomorrow evening will have the old sewer line exposed and ready to be replaced. I discovered this afternoon, after 110 years, the old sewer line is no longer in a straight line.
Most projects at the Red Dog Estate end up being Pandora’s Box. My rule of thumb for a plumbing project is that it will take at least three trips to the hardware store. I’ve already used five trips purchasing or renting what I think I will need to complete this project. Maggie and Sally are getting to spend a lot of time in the front yard supervising me and protecting the neighborhood.
good luck on your project and how lucky that you have your supervisors )

Thanks! Maggie is funny when it comes to projects. She loves to be right there watching whatever I’m doing.

I’m coming in on this a bit late… I can see by your post titles that you are up to at least day five. That’s good news, right?

Yes, very good news. The sewer line project went very well and cost less than I estimated. I don’t have to worry the line suddenly clogging.
