The only plans for the sewer line project today were to return the extra pipe, fittings and glue and to rest from the past two days of digging and laying pipe. The inspection has been requested and will hopefully be signed off tomorrow. While relaxing in the back yard, I saw the first bloom on the Peonies as well as the Irises that were transplanted last fall.

Well I expected pictures of a sewer dig and I got gorgeous flowers instead. Life is good. 🙂 Spectacular irises!

Life is good! 🙂 Having a sewer line that is brand new is a good feeling. I walked past these Irises at least a dozen times the last two days and did not notice them blooming.

Awesome that you took a day to stop and smell the peonies… in my opinion… a better fragrance than roses.

Both are far better than the fragrance of old sewer pipe.
