Work at the Red Dog Estate continues with putting all the dirt back in the ground after the Big Dig.
Most of the trench has been filled in and the rock sorted from the dirt. I thought I had all of the old terra cotta pipe gathered for the dump last week but continue to find pieces mixed in with the dirt. This makes perfect sense since the mini excavator was used to pull the 110 year old pipe from the ground.
During the camera inspection of the old sewer line, the plumber located what seemed to be two clean outs. Turned out to be two tees with these very simple lids just sitting on the top of the openings. Why they were installed is a mystery. The lids will be kept for no other reason than being made by hand. A good week working in the yard.
